Ricky De Los Angeles

Character Design, Illustration, Visual Development

Ricky De Los Angeles dreamed of working for Disney as a young kid. Five years ago that dream came true, in his role as a Character Artist at Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products, where he draws Disney & Pixar characters that end up on merchandise around the world. A graduate of CalArts’ character animation program, Ricky started his career as a Caricature Artist, drawing at fairs and private events on both US coasts, and going on to win 3 awards for his work from the International Society of Caricature Artists (ISCA).

Most recently, he illustrated his first book for Disney/Random House, the Disney/Pixar “Coco” inspired, “Miguel and the Amazing Alebrijes,” and is active in projects that flex his character design and visual development skills. Ricky is extremely honored to participate in the inaugural year of LightBox Expo!
